Mythical Hetalia:Why We Never Let Norway Get Drunk

Description

I am finally finished with it.

This is the final piece of a four part miniseries in my series of pictures focused on some of the lesser known mythical creatures from around the world paired with their personified country of origin from Hidekaz Himaruya's Hetalia

This one includes Denmark, Sweden, and Finland with the Norse myths Árvakr and Alsviðr, Sköll, and Hati Hróðvitnisson

The full myths can be found with the other three parts
Denmark- snakeshine.deviantart.com/art/…
Sweden- snakeshine.deviantart.com/art/…
Finland- snakeshine.deviantart.com/art/…

The basic breakdown is: The white wolf, Hati, chases the moon and is destined to swallow it during Ragnarok. The black wolf, Skoll, chases the sun and the horses that pull it across the sky, Arvakr and Alsvidr. He is destined to devour them at the same time that Hati devours the moon.

HEADCANON
This is why Norway should never be let near alcohol and magical grimoires at the same time. He managed to somehow let four creatures from Norse mythology loose in Stockholm. Norway was too drunk to respond and Iceland was in Hong Kong leaving it up to Denmark, Sweden, and Finland to capture and contain the beasts. They equipped themselves with their old Viking attire and weapons, along with a few "barrowed" items from Norway's magic storeroom (including some potions that let them walk on water and some magic chains to restrain the wolves with). After several hours of searching they found the creatures running amok over top of the water outside the royal palace in Stockholm. Each of them decided to go after a different myth. Finland went after the horses and managed to get up onto the chariot that seemed to be invisibly attached to them. He grabbed hold of the reigns and drove them to a stop. Sweden went after the wolf that was chasing the horses. He tried and failed to get the golden chain around it's neck several times, but when Finland got the horses to stop the black wolf decided to charge the horses, thereby putting Finland in danger. Sweden, realizing this, leapt into action and finally managed to lasso the wolf, nearly choking it in the process, while Finland remained oblivious to the whole endeavor. While this was going on Denmark managed to lasso the white wolf with a silver chain fairly quickly and had been dragging it back towards where Finland and Sweden were rounding up the other three beasts. Even with the wolf's resistance he somehow ended up almost back to back with Sweden right as Sweden got his chain around the black wolf's neck. Then immediately after they had brought the animals to a stand still, Norway showed up pissed off and completely sober.

What do you think would have happened next?

I did something completely different from usual with the background. I wanted to use some scenery from one of their capitals and while looking at pictures of the cities I decided that attempting to draw one would kill me, so I found a picture that would work as a background and altered it quite a bit. The picture I decided to use was one of the royal palace in Sweden's capital, Stockholm.

If you know of a lesser known mythical creature which you would like to see with a Hetalia character comment below
