Mythical Hetalia: Norse Hati Hrodvitnisson

This is part of my series of pictures focused on some of the lesser known mythical creatures from around the world paired with their personified country of origin from Hidekaz Himaruya's Hetalia.

Seventh-Denmark and Hati Hróðvitnisson

In Norse mythology, Hati Hróðvitnisson (first name meaning "He Who Hates, Enemy"[1]) is a warg, wolf that according to Gylfaginning chases the Moon across the night sky, just as the wolf Sköll chases the Sun during the day, until the time of Ragnarök when they will swallow these heavenly bodies, after which Fenrir will break free from his bonds and kill Odin. Hatí is possibly alluded to in Völuspá as "moon-snatcher".

HEADCANON
This is part 1 of a 3 part piece involving Denmark, Sweden, and Finland. The main headcanon will be put with the end product with all three. It will be called "This is Why we Never Let Norway Get Drunk". Despite what it was that Norway did, Denmark appears to be enjoying himself.

I decided to try something different with shading, and I can't decide whether I like it or not.
I didn't try very hard on this background because I'm anxious to get to the final piece.
